The Plateau

Lately I’ve been in a weird rut of mediocrity and comfort. I’m happy with where I am and in a comfortable state. I’ve realized that this is the artist’s worst enemy.

Because of this new-found stress-free state of mind I find myself in, I no longer have the same urgent need to create. If this cycle where to continue, I would stay where I am and never progress.

I vow to overcome this and fulfill my potential.

What kind of a role model would I be if I allowed myself to be content with mild success, watch my peers surpass me in my own sport?

May be this all sounds selfish.

Maybe sometimes we have to be.

I have some thank yous -

Josh, you always carry me through anything.

Thank you Anne, Jacquie, Madi, Dave, Teri, Michael E, Adrian, Bethany, Miranda, Sam & Andrew, Andrew H…

Back to the old grind.

Hi Veela. Just wondering, do you have any other sample cd's other than Siren. I love Siren but I need more of your magic. Do you have anything else out there? Also sent you a msg on Facebook. I'm so glad I discovered you, your vocals make the creative writing process so much better. Love from Daniel

Yes, Toby and I are probably going to release a new one next year. Until then, I can’t help you, sorry!

Veela, I just wanted to take the time to say that I absolutley adore you and your music. I don't think Ive ever heard a voice quite so captivating as yours and the fact you can just so easily transition from electronic stuff to such lovley acoustic music is brilliant. In short, love your work keep singing and please continue to blow my mind.

Thank you very much!! ^-^
